Summer’s end at Martin Pierce Hardware

Can you believe it?  Another summer has come to an end and the first day of fall is just one day away, September 22nd.  While many of us usually associate the first day of fall with things not weather or science related, like chunky sweaters, crisp apple pie and cozy fires, the autumnal equinox is actually a reference to the day of the year when day and night hours are equal at 12 hours each.  As we all know, each day gets shorter from that moment on until the winter solstice takes place.  But enough about weather and science, we are just ready to enjoy the change of seasons. 

Good bye to the relaxing and warm days of summer and summer decorating:
